Beta Interviews – Goodwill Industries & South Carolina Telecom
These are the experiences of the BEST program’s Beta testing phase featuring representatives from Goodwill Industries of the Upstate/Midlands, SC and South Carolina Tel-con, a group of telecommunications contractors offering civil construction services as well as antenna and line services throughout the Southeast.
“BEST is a great opportunity to initiate cost savings into our skilled nursing facility which is an older building. As business owners and facility managers, we all want to have utility savings; however, one of the problems we run into is not finding the time to put effort into how to achieve those savings. The BEST program lays all of the information out so easy for you that is almost a no-brainer to put their recommendations into action.”
–Barry Putnam, Facility Manager—Wesley Commons, Greenwood SC
“What has been great about the BEST program is how user friendly the information is, from completing the assessment of the facility to reviewing the recommendations that are designated for you based upon your assessment. It is very user friendly and I don’t think we are going to have any problems implementing anything that is recommended for us.”
–Karen Schwartz, Vice President of Facilities and Support Services—Bon Secours St. Francis Health System, Greenville SC
“The BEST team along with myself and a couple of my facility managers did numerous assessments on our Physician Affiliated Practices. The assessment process is simple but very detailed. We learned a lot through participating in these assessments ourselves. I was impressed with the sincerity and enthusiasm that the BEST team has. I think that when they went to our Physician Affiliated Practices, the office managers picked up on that enthusiasm.”
–Kimball Trotter, Director of Engineering—Bon Secours St. Francis Health System, Greenville SC
“There are numerous benefits to BEST. Ease of use is a benefit, it is flexible and scalable. From a tangible perspective, I think BEST zeros in on areas where there is low hanging fruit in the targeted areas of energy, water and waste. From a business perspective, BEST is helping businesses to be good stewards of resources and to improve their bottom line. There is benefit to be gained from the data analytics as well as bench-marking opportunities.”
–Rich Waycaster, CFO—Elliott Davis, Greenville SC
